Darrell has over 30 years of experience managing and directing sales and business professionals in service, retail, manufacturing, and distribution companies. Furthermore, he is a longtime proponent of outsourced services, delivering optimal value in start-up and high growth staff environments. Darrell will guide the highly qualified and experienced Teneo team to provide the highest service levels our clients and member hotels demand.
Mike has over 25 years of sales and marketing experience in the hospitality industry, primarily in sales leadership. He was a former Vice President of Sales and Marketing with Hilton Hotels. Over the past four years, Mike has developed a successful consulting business focused on improving performance for a wide variety of independent and branded hotels and resorts. He has also developed a digital marketing platform. Critical to this business development process has been training and managing sales teams and evaluating the sales and marketing efforts of his clients. Mike was named the Director of Sales and Marketing of the Year with Hilton Hotels- 1998. Prior, Mike held various sales and operations positions with Marriott Hotels Corporation and Hyatt Hotels Corporation. Mike Schugt is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management. Additionally, Mike is fluent in Spanish and German.
Vice President, Operations
Linda has held various roles in systems management and sales within International Business Machines in Los Angeles, New York City, and Chicago. She has also provided similar services with various service and retail-oriented organizations. Linda has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from California State University, Northridge.
Marcia managed the Krisam Group’s New York office since 1977. Prior to joining the company, she served as Senior Account Executive with The American Express Company, handling the planning and placement of corporate and association group business. From 1964 to 1975, Marcia was Director of Sales for Sumner A. Baye, a hotel-consulting firm.
Tyrie has over 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry. He spent 20 years with Krisam Group covering select accounts in Chicago, Kansas City and Missouri. Prior to his tenure with Krisam, he spent 13 years on property with Westin and Whitehall | Tremont Hotels in Chicago. Tyrie is highly regarded and respected by his clients and hotel partners.
Mary is a seasoned hotel professional with a diverse background in hospitality sales and marketing. Her 20 years of property based experience with IHG, combined with over 10 years of selling multiple hotel brands and a DMC network globally, have contributed to her exceptional industry knowledge. Awarded top producer for InterContinental Hotel Group and Krisam Group.
Marci brings over 26 years of industry experience to Teneo Hospitality Group. Throughout her career, she has developed a strong presence in the Southwest Region, which includes Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Louisiana. Marci spent 21 years with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts in various sales capacities, including the Director of Global Accounts. She was also awarded top Global seller 4 years in a row.

Vice President of Sales
Since joining Teneo, Joe has booked more than 115,000 room nights and $24 million in hotel revenue for our hotel members! Prior to joining Teneo, Joe was at The Krisam Group & Global Events Partners as Director of Sales, Northeast. In his twelve years there, Joe booked more than 1,200 successful meetings. Joe has also served as a Senior Sales Manager, Groups, at The Monarch Hotel (now Fairmont Washington) in Washington, DC from 1997-2002. His territory was the Northeast and he consistently exceeded his goals. Joe treasures his strong client and hotel partner relationships. He is a native of New Jersey and earned his B.S. in Marketing from The University of Maryland, College Park.
Vice President of Sales, Insurance & Financial Services
Julie Stovroff brings energy, enthusiasm, and more than 30+ years of premium sales and marketing expertise to Teneo Hospitality Group. Before joining Teneo she was Vice President, Group Sales – Insurance & Financial Services at Preferred Hotels & Resorts from 2007-2017. Prior experience includes serving as Vice President of Sales for hinton+grusich, and national sales for Keystone Resort and the Sheraton Denver Tech Center.
Personal service is the hallmark of Julie’s style and she is proud that many business relationships have developed into personal friendships. Julie shares her passion and knowledge of the travel industry with her wealth of contacts, as she matches clients with perfect properties for meetings and incentives. Throughout her career, Julie has been an avid volunteer both outside and inside the hospitality industry, including FICP, MPI/RMC, and LIMRA Suppliers Advisory Committee.
A native of Buffalo, New York, Julie is a graduate of the University of Denver. Based in Denver, Julie will be focusing on the Insurance & Financial Services market nationwide.

Director of Sales
Traci joins Teneo Hospitality Group with both luxury hotel and meeting planning expertise. During her 7 years as Director of Sales for Krisam Group and Global Events Partners in the Southeast United States, Traci earned a reputation as a tireless client advocate, expert on her portfolio, and trustworthy partner for planners and hotel partners. With a hotel background spanning from Hyatt Hotels, through Starwood Hotels & Resorts throughout the East Coast, and 5 years with a boutique meeting planning firm, she draws on her 25 years of experience to deliver results for all of the stakeholders of any meeting or incentive. Based in Louisville, KY, Traci is on the board of SITE Southeast.

Edward joins Teneo with over nine years in luxury hotel sales. He has gained valuable experience representing established brands such as Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, The Ritz-Carlton Company, and Starwood Hotels & Resorts as both Senior Sales and Account Director. Through developing open lines of communication and exuding a positive attitude towards his clients, Edward has created partnerships with numerous clients across all market segments. He is based in San Jose, California, and will be focusing on accounts in California, Oregon, and Washington for Teneo.

Glenn joins Teneo Hospitality Group with 25 years of hospitality experience in the Mid-Atlantic region, predominantly at independent resorts. He has developed strong client relationships over the past 10 years as Director of National Sales at The Greenbrier and The Omni Homestead Resort, with a focus on National Associations in the Washington, DC area. Glenn has been a team leader and top producer throughout his career, and was named a KSL Sales Superstar. Glenn is dedicated to providing the high level of service and attention to detail that is his calling card, as he assists his friends and clients in the Mid-Atlantic region in his new role on our Teneo team.
Cindy is a customer-driven global sales representative with an extensive background in hotel national sales, leadership, catering- convention services, and operations. Most recently coming from The Walt Disney Company in a National Sales role for Disney Destinations Worldwide, Cindy represented the Southeast Territory. She served as a consultant to meeting professionals on behalf of the Disney Meeting Experience coast to coast. Before this role, Cindy represented the Gaylord Hotel’s portfolio of four unique convention destinations with a specific focus on customers from both Texas and Florida. Cindy was a strategic member of the Southeast Team. Prior to National Sales, Cindy spent 12 years with Hyatt Hotels in roles ranging from Director of Sales to District Director of Sales in various capacities at Hyatt’s in the Southeast and Florida.
Cindy thrives on creative solutions, partnerships both internally and externally, mutually beneficial relationships, and exceeding quality service expectations for her customers and their business needs.
Christie joins Teneo with over 20 years of global hotel sales experience, primarily on the West Coast. Most recently, Christie held a global sales role with Disney, representing their convention and incentive hotels, and Disney Institute, where she received Disney’s Platinum Club Award for two consecutive years. She has also been a top producing member of Gaylord Hotels’ National Sales team, where she focused on large group business for Gaylord’s four convention properties. Christie opened and operated Krisam Group’s first Pacific Northwest office from 2004-2010. She previously held national sales and on-property positions with Ritz-Carlton and Krisam Group in New York. Based in Portland, OR, Christie’s primary focus at Teneo will be the Pacific Northwest region.

Reena joins Teneo Hospitality Group with over ten years of hospitality sales experience. During her ten years in the industry, Reena represented Renaissance Hotels in Washington, DC, Kimpton Hotels in Washington, DC and Chicago, and most recently was Director of Global Accounts for Omni Hotels & Resorts serving clients in the Midwest region. Reena’s endless pursuit of 100% client satisfaction and continued drive to develop long-lasting client relationships resulted in notable achievements including top performer and sales team of the year. Reena is based in Chicago and will be focusing on Midwest account development.

David is currently enjoying a successful 20+ year hospitality career. Prior to joining Teneo, David had a very gratifying 8 year run as Director of Global Sales for Jumeirah Hotels and Resorts. David is considered to be a valuable partner and resource for his clients, creatively driving the MICE market into Jumeirah’s Global portfolio of hotels.
David’s diverse background also included a 7 year tenure with Fairmont Hotels as Director of Group Sales Fairmont Bermuda Hotels. As Director, David and his team was awarded the prestigious Fairmont Sales Team of the Year 2007. His career path also included stints with Omni Hotels and Hyatt Hotels.
David will continue his 30 year devotion to New York City and be responsible for developing business from the Northeast market for Teneo’s remarkable portfolio of Member Hotels and DMCs.

Constanza has over 20 years of experience in the hotel and hospitality industry, the majority of which has been in hotel sales with Marriott, Ritz Carlton and Hilton. During her career, she has held the position of Director of Sales & Marketing, Sales Manager with single/multiple properties, and Director of International Sales. A native of Lima, Peru, Constanza has vast experience in developing group business from Latin America. She brings her award-winning success with multiple markets and international business development to Teneo. Constanza’s primary focus will be to develop group business from Latin America for the Teneo portfolio of Member Hotels.

Drew joins the Teneo team with 15 years of hospitality experience, which includes selling lifestyle and luxury hotels. He was on the opening team for both Bacara Resort in Santa Barbara and Four Seasons in Denver. Drew combines his resume of hotel sales with his previous position as Director of Sales for IDP, and his recent position as the Director of National Accounts for Event Travel Management, making him the perfect addition to Teneo’s growing Sales Division. Drew will be based in Denver and managing a portfolio of accounts primarily in Colorado.

Group Sales Coordinator
After a 20 year career in retail, Susan joined the hospitality industry in 1999 working for Sonesta International Hotels. Most recently, Susan was Global Sales Operations Manager for Sonesta. Susan brings to Teneo a broad knowledge of the hospitality industry, specializing in tradeshow management.

Maddalena brings over 16 years of hospitality industry experience to Teneo Hospitality Group. She has been a group sales manager and sales assistant with the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company for most of her career, and most recently was with the Hard Rock Casino Punta Cana. Maddalena will provide our customers and members with dedication, experience and efficiency.

Donita worked for Krisam Group Chicago for over 14 years as a sales coordinator providing support for the Midwest and Southeast regions. In addition to that role, Donita provided logistic support to all Midwest office activities.

Diane brings over two decades of industry experience to Teneo Hospitality Group. She has been a sales assistant at the Hyatt Regency Chicago, as well as a sales coordinator with Sonesta Hotels. Diane is a dedicated and experienced sales professional. She has a B.A. in Hospitality Management from Eastern Illinois University.
FINANCE & ANALYTICS
Sherri has over 15 years of experience working in finance and accounting for Lockheed Martin, Valspar and, most recently, Cargill. She has a reputation for a high degree of dedication, and attention to details. Her thoroughness and experience will be beneficial for our organization.
Justin completed his education with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. He was quick to join the hospitality industry by interning at Prestige Resorts & Destinations, as well as, at Teneo Hospitality Group. After completing his internships, Justin has joined Teneo as a Sales & Marketing Coordinator in our Eden Prairie, MN location but now has taken on the title of Marketing & Operations Analyst.
Marie comes to Teneo with over 15 years of Corporate Finance experience. She has held treasury, credit analyst and accounts receivable positions with St. Jude Medical, Valspar Corporation, Ceridian, and Patterson Companies. Marie brings strong communication and analytical skills to the Teneo team. Marie is a graduate of the University of Minnesota, Duluth and has earned her Credit Business Associate (CBA) from the National Association of Credit Management.
MEMBER RELATIONS & MARKETING
Director, Systems & Member Relations
Prior to the working at Teneo, Sofija spent 7 years as a Senior Sales Coordinator at Krisam Group New York. In this role, she facilitated the placement of hotel group business and was also the liaison for Global Events Partners (DMC). In addition, Sofija served as an Event Coordinator for the four annual events hosted by the New York team and oversaw the company’s support staff. As Teneo’s Director of Systems and Member Relations, Sofija uses her background in sales, combined with extensive industry knowledge and strong communication skills to serve our members with dedication and professionalism.
Prior to taking a position with Teneo Hospitality Group, Danielle worked for Prestige | Global Meeting Source for five years as Director of Communications & Events. She comes to Teneo with a broad knowledge of the hospitality industry, and is experienced with using social media, as well as web and mobile technologies to build business relationships. With her experience in corporate event planning and sales marketing, and her passionate, highly creative and detail-oriented personality, Danielle will be a welcome addition to Teneo and the services it offers its clients, member hotels and DMCs. Danielle received her Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Mass Communications and minor in Speech Communications from Minnesota State University, Mankato.
Carolina’s career spans over 25 years and several countries. She was born and raised in Mexico and began her career in a DMC as an Event Planner. After a brief education in Mexico City she enrolled and graduated from the famed Les Roches International School of Hotel Management in Bluche, Switzerland. In Europe, she traveled and worked at one of the most prestigious hotels in Paris, Le Royal Monceau.
Her background includes B2B sales, catering, sales and planning of meetings, incentives, tradeshows, and destination weddings. She has extensive experience in all facets of hospitality management. As a Director of Operations in a recognized DMC she oversaw entire event procedures in the United States, Mexico, Panama, Colombia, Belize, and other countries.
Carolina enjoys traveling, music, movies and practices meditation, yoga & CrossFit. She will be delighted to assist you with Teneo’s events!
Maria became the Director of Digital Marketing and Social Media at Leading North in 2014. Maria has a diverse background in marketing and advertising. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and International Business from Florida Atlantic University. She then earned an MBA with a Marketing track from the same university. For the past several years, she has worked in the hospitality Digital Marketing arena where she has been able to further develop her passion and talent for marketing. Maria is a data-driven, results-oriented individual with a strong talent for marketing and analytics. Maria is fluent in English, Spanish, and Italian, and she loves to learn, travel, and spend time with her family. Maria is looking forward to expanding Teneo’s digital marketing services to its member hotels, resorts, and DMCs.
